👍 Pros & Cons

    Pros

  • Our own deposit, play and withdrawal all completed without obstruction
  • The welcome package at 40x on CA$150 is genuinely clearable, unlike the five figure offers elsewhere that need tens of thousands in turnover
  • No maximum win cap is stated on welcome bonus winnings, which most casinos apply
  • Weekly cashback carries only 10x wagering, the lowest multiplier on the site
  • Licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority under MGA/B2C/394/2017 with Maltese law applying
  • Three named escalation routes: ADR provider CasinoReviews.com, the MGA directly, and the EU dispute platform
  • Operator fully identified: N1 Interactive Ltd, Malta registration C 81457, registered in Valletta
  • Instadebit withdrawals are instant and go up to CA$6,000, above the general transaction cap
  • Interac supported both ways for Canadian players
  • Dormant balances are returned to the player after 30 months rather than consumed by fees
  • 14 day bonus expiry is longer than the 7 days several competitors allow
  • Complete self service responsible gambling suite with hourly reality checks

    Cons

  • Trustpilot rating of 2.3, and the casino stopped replying to reviews at some point after October 2025
  • Card withdrawals take 3 to 5 banking days against 1 to 3 at the sister brands
  • Monthly withdrawal ceiling is EUR 40,000 with no higher tier, where two sister brands reach EUR 75,000
  • Weekly cashback requires CA$1,500 in losses before it triggers at all
  • A player reports his deposit becoming bonus funds subject to 40x wagering without realising
  • A Canadian player reports roughly 30 documents submitted and a withdrawal still denied
  • The payments page lists only EUR, USD and NZD while the terms and bonus terms include CAD
  • English language reviews received replies written in German
  • One review reply addressed the player by a completely different name
  • Maximum bet during bonus play is CA$8 and feature purchases count toward it
  • Australia and Ontario are restricted
  • German players are charged 5.3 percent on every real money bet

🎁 Bonuses & Promotions

This is the smallest welcome package we have documented, and that is worth reading as a positive rather than a shortfall.

A CA$150 bonus at 40x requires CA$6,000 of turnover. A CA$1,500 bonus at the same 40x requires CA$60,000. The second number looks more generous on the promotional banner and is ten times harder to finish. Avalon78's offer is one of the few in our rankings a normal player can actually clear.

Welcome package, three deposits

First deposit, code AVALON100: 100% up to CA$150 / NZ$150, or EUR 100, plus 100 free spins on The Sword and The Grail, delivered as 20 per day across 5 days. If that game is unavailable, spins go to Fire & Steel instead.

Second deposit, code AVALON75: 75% up to CA$75 / NZ$75, or EUR 50, plus 50 free spins on Spartan King, with Fire & Steel as the alternative.

Third deposit, code AVALON50: 30% up to CA$150 / NZ$150, or EUR 100. No free spins.

Total: CA$375 and 150 free spins. Minimum qualifying deposit is CA$25 / NZ$25, or EUR 20, at every stage.

Wagering is 40x on both cash bonuses and free spin winnings. Bonuses expire after 14 days, which is longer than the 7 days several competitors allow.

One detail in your favour that is easy to miss. Clause 1f caps winnings at EUR 10,000 for cashback, comp points, tournaments, VIP bonuses, weekly bonuses "and any deposit bonus except welcome bonus". The welcome bonus is specifically excluded from that cap, and no alternative figure is stated for it. Most casinos apply a cashout multiplier to their welcome offer.

Cashback, and its threshold

Cashback is issued each Thursday at 00:00 GMT on the previous week's losses, excluding bonus money and deposits tied to bonuses:

  • Losses of CA$1,500 to CA$3,000 (EUR 1,000 to 2,000): 5 percent back
  • Losses above CA$3,000 (EUR 2,000): 7 percent back

Wagering is only 10x, which is the lowest multiplier anywhere on this site and genuinely good.

The problem is the threshold. You need to lose CA$1,500 in a single week before any cashback triggers. For most players that means it never applies. Compare 7BitCasino, where cashback starts at level one and reaches 20 percent at 1x wagering at the top tier.

Rules across all bonuses

Maximum bet during bonus play: CA$8 / NZ$8, or EUR 5 / USD 5. Purchasing any game feature, including a respin, adds to your bet amount. Exceed it and Avalon78 reserves the right to confiscate the winnings.

Game contribution: slots 100 percent. Baccarat, blackjack and hi-lo 5 percent except live dealer. Video poker 5 percent. Roulette and poker 5 percent except live dealer. Crash games 5 percent.

No deposit bonuses: maximum withdrawal CA$75 / NZ$75, or EUR 50. The cap persists after wagering is complete, and a EUR 20 deposit is required before withdrawing. Sign up spins require email verification and arrive within 24 hours.

Real money is spent first when the bonus is linked to a deposit. Where you hold real money plus a separately activated bonus not connected to your balance, bonus money is wagered first.

Clause 1g: you may request a withdrawal before meeting the wagering requirement, but the bonus and any winnings from it are forfeited. Your own deposit is not locked.

Clause 4c: both the bonus and its winnings are lost once the bonus expires. With a 14 day window, track the date.

Free spin rule: clause 1j requires you to play through the deposit that earned your free spins at least 3 times, excluding table games.

Bonus ratio above 50 percent of deposits is treated as abuse under clause 4f.

One bonus per person, device, IP address and browser.

Ireland, Finland and Croatia are excluded from all deposit based bonuses. Sweden is excluded from every promotion, VIP reward and comp point exchange.

Note on bonus codes: Promo codes mentioned in this review were accurate at the time of writing but may have changed. For current, verified codes that are checked daily, see our No Deposit Bonus Codes page. 📝 Full Review

Avalon78 is operated by N1 Interactive Ltd, Malta company registration C 81457, registered at 206 Wisely House, Old Bakery Street, Valletta, licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority under MGA/B2C/394/2017.

That is the sixth time we have written that paragraph. Bob Casino, Betchan, Spinia, BetAmo and Cookie Casino carry identical details, down to terms document version 2.8 dated 23 January 2024. One company, one licence, six brands, mapped in full on our casino groups page.

The Arthurian theme runs through the whole site, and the welcome free spins land on The Sword and The Grail and Spartan King. Whether that appeals is entirely personal. What is not personal is the size of the welcome offer, and that turns out to be the most interesting thing here.

The smallest welcome package we have documented

Three deposits, totalling CA$375 in bonus money and 150 free spins.

For context against casinos we have reviewed for these markets:

CasinoWelcome packageWageringTurnover needed
7BitCasino NZ$10,800 35x NZ$378,000
PlayAmo CA$1,500 first deposit 50x CA$75,000
GunsBet NZ$920 first deposit 40x NZ$36,800
Avalon78 CA$150 first deposit 40x CA$6,000

Here is the point most casino reviews get backwards. A bigger bonus at the same wagering multiplier is not a better offer. It is a larger number attached to a proportionally larger obligation.

CA$6,000 of turnover at CA$1 per spin is 6,000 spins, spread over 14 days. That is demanding but finishable. CA$75,000 at a CA$8 maximum bet is 9,375 spins minimum and realistically far more, and almost nobody completes it. The offer you can finish is worth more than the offer you cannot.

Two further details work in your favour. Clause 1f caps winnings at EUR 10,000 for every bonus type except the welcome bonus, and states no alternative figure for it. And the 14 day expiry is double what several competitors allow.

Run your own numbers in our bonus terms decoder before claiming anything, at this casino or any other.

Our test

Author's test: Deposit, play and withdrawal all completed without problems. No verification loop, no unexplained holds, no support runaround.

The bonus complaint, checked against the terms

The most recent review on the profile, from May 2026, is specific enough to verify:

"Upon deposit my cash was converted into bonus funds with 40x wagering. This is not mentioned in their bonus T&C's."

The casino did not reply.

Part of that claim is checkable and part is not. The 40x figure is stated plainly in clause 1i, so the assertion that it is not mentioned in the bonus terms is incorrect. It is there, in the first section, in one sentence.

But his underlying experience is worth taking seriously, because clause 1e describes the mechanism: when a bonus is linked to a deposit, your real money is wagered first and the bonus money after. That means a deposit and a bonus become one balance under one wagering requirement, and from the player's side it can genuinely feel like your cash was converted rather than matched.

Clause 1g is the part that matters and it runs in your favour: you may request a withdrawal before meeting the wagering requirement, and you lose only the bonus and anything won with it. Your deposit is not locked. At Bob Casino and several others in this group, the terms state the deposit is locked alongside the bonus.

The practical lesson applies everywhere. If you want a clean withdrawal path, decline the bonus at the point of deposit. Clause 1k implies bonuses here are selected rather than applied automatically, so there should be an opt out. If a bonus appears on your balance that you did not choose, contact support before placing any bets, because once wagering starts the situation is much harder to unwind.

A review that teaches something useful about licences

One reviewer wrote in 2022 that he checked with the UK Gambling Commission, found the company was not registered, and concluded Avalon78 were "ordinary scammers and thieves impersonating casino".

He was checking the wrong regulator, and the result told him nothing.

Avalon78 holds a Malta Gaming Authority licence and the United Kingdom is on its restricted countries list. A casino that does not serve the UK has no reason to hold a UKGC licence, and the UKGC register would never contain it. Finding nothing there is the expected result, not a red flag.

How to check a licence properly: find the licence number in clause 1 of the terms, identify which authority issued it, and search that authority's public register. For Avalon78 that means the MGA's licensee register and the number MGA/B2C/394/2017. Searching a regulator that has no jurisdiction over the operator proves nothing in either direction.

Our casino groups page covers the two minute method for checking any casino's operator and licence.

What else the review record shows

Avalon78 sits at 2.3 on Trustpilot, which places it between Spinia at 2.1 and Betchan and Cookie at 2.4 across the six brands in this group.

The verification cases

A Canadian player in 2022 described reaching near VIP level 5, then being denied a withdrawal over a second verification he had never been asked for previously. He states he submitted close to 30 documents including proof of his move and both old and new addresses, and that none were accepted. He believed the casino did not want to award the level 5 prize of 156 free spins.

Another Canadian player in March 2025 reported the casino could not pay CA$50 and kept requesting documents. The casino replied that document verification is a standard regulatory procedure and invited him to contact support.

That reply is accurate as far as it goes. It is also the same reply every casino gives, and it does not address why a specific file was rejected.

Two support failures visible on the page itself

An Irish player writing in English received a reply written entirely in German. So did an Austrian reviewer and a German one, which is at least logical for the latter two. The Irish player's reply was not.

Separately, a reviewer posting as Mana Satcher received a reply that opens "Hello Judith Dean".

Neither costs anyone money. Both suggest review replies are being handled without much attention, which is worth knowing if you are relying on public complaints as a pressure route.

The casino appears to have stopped replying

Replies appear on reviews through roughly October 2025. The May 2026 bonus complaint, the most recent and one of the more specific, drew nothing.

Across this operator group, Bob Casino replies with case detail, Betchan replies generically, BetAmo replies to some and not others. Avalon78 appears to have stopped.

The German fee complaint, which is real

One German reviewer wrote simply: "You have to pay 5.3% fee PER SPIN!!!!"

That is accurate and it is in the terms. German players are charged 5.3 percent on every real money bet, debited at the moment of the bet, reflecting German gambling tax passed to the player. It is not a hidden casino fee and it does not apply to Canadian or New Zealand players.

Withdrawal limits and payments

  • Daily: CA$4,000 / NZ$4,000, or EUR 4,000
  • Weekly: EUR 10,000
  • Monthly: EUR 40,000
  • Minimum withdrawal: CA$10, or EUR 10
  • Minimum deposit: EUR 20 or USD 10

Above EUR 40,000 payouts may be split into monthly instalments of EUR 20,000.

One thing to note against the sister brands: Avalon78 publishes only the standard EUR 40,000 monthly limit. BetAmo and Cookie Casino both publish a second tier reaching EUR 75,000. Same company, same licence, different ceiling.

Canadian payment support, which is strong

Interac: deposits from CA$30 to CA$6,000, free and instant. Interac e-Transfer withdrawals from CA$30 to CA$4,000, free, 1 to 3 banking days.

Instadebit: deposits from CA$30 to CA$6,000. Withdrawals from CA$30 to CA$6,000, instant, which is above the general EUR 4,000 per transaction cap that applies elsewhere.

Also available: Neosurf, Paysafecard, Skrill and Neteller, Skrill Rapid Transfer, bank transfer, and virtual credit cards as a withdrawal method.

Two things to plan around.

Card withdrawals take 3 to 5 banking days. At Bob Casino and Betchan the same method is published at 1 to 3 days. E-wallets, Instadebit, Neosurf and Skrill Rapid Transfer are all instant here, so use one of those instead.

The payments page omits CAD. It states the casino accepts EUR, USD and NZD. The terms list EUR, USD, NZD and CAD, the bonus terms quote CAD figures throughout, and Interac and Instadebit both publish CAD limits. The payments page appears to be out of date rather than authoritative, but confirm your account currency at registration.

Paysafecard withdrawals cap at EUR 250 per transaction. Bank transfers require a EUR 500 minimum.

Verification becomes mandatory once cumulative withdrawals reach EUR 2,000. Submit documents on the day you register.

All deposits must be wagered 3x before withdrawal, applying whether or not you take a bonus.

What the MGA licence gives you

Avalon78 is one of six casinos in our rankings licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority, and all six are this same company.

The MGA investigates player complaints, imposes fines and revokes licences. That is enforcement with consequences, which offshore regulators in this market largely do not provide.

The escalation path is set out with full contact details:

  • Step one: support@avalon78.com
  • Step two: escalation to management on request
  • Step three, after 8 weeks: free referral to the appointed ADR service CasinoReviews.com, with a submission form, a Ta'Xbiex address and complaints@casinoreviews.com
  • Alternative: direct complaint to the Malta Gaming Authority, with its form, address and phone numbers
  • For EU players: the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform

This matters more here than at brands that still reply to reviews. If a casino has stopped engaging publicly, writing another review applies no pressure. The ADR does. Our complaints guide covers what evidence to gather first.

Responsible gambling and dormant accounts

The MGA mandates player protection and the tooling is complete: deposit, loss, wager and session limits, cooling off and self exclusion, all set from within your account. Decreases apply immediately, increases require email confirmation and only take effect after the previous limit expires.

Hourly reality check notifications appear during play.

The terms explain honestly what a loss limit actually does, with a worked example showing it is based on your initial deposit rather than on winnings.

One process quirk shared across all six brands: if you self exclude you cannot log in to request a withdrawal and must email support instead.

The dormant account clause runs in your favour. After 12 months without login a EUR 5 monthly fee begins from month 13, with monthly reminder emails. If the account stays inactive for 30 months, the balance is remitted back to the player. Only the N1 brands in our rankings do this.

If you need support independent of any casino, ConnexOntario and GamCare are free and confidential.

Restrictions

Australia is restricted. So is Ontario specifically, along with the Netherlands, UK, US, Cyprus, Norway and a long list of others. New Zealand and the rest of Canada are not.

Canadian players cannot access NYX or NextGen games. Two NetEnt branded titles, Vikings and Street Fighter, are also restricted in Canada.

VPN use to access from a restricted region allows account blocking and confiscation of funds. Politically Exposed Persons are not accepted.

Verdict

Avalon78 does one thing better than any casino in our rankings, and it is a thing most players would read as a weakness.

The welcome package at CA$375 total is the smallest we have documented. At 40x that is CA$6,000 of turnover on the first deposit, which a normal player can actually finish inside the 14 day window. The five figure offers elsewhere require tens of thousands in turnover and are effectively decorative. And the welcome bonus is specifically excluded from the EUR 10,000 winnings cap that applies to every other bonus type here.

Alongside that: our own test completed cleanly, the MGA licence brings three named escalation routes including the regulator itself, Canadian payment support with Interac and Instadebit is strong with instant Instadebit withdrawals up to CA$6,000, cashback carries only 10x wagering, and dormant balances come back to you after 30 months.

What holds it at 7.1 is a set of smaller things that add up. Trustpilot at 2.3. Card withdrawals published at 3 to 5 banking days where the sister brands say 1 to 3. A monthly ceiling of EUR 40,000 where two siblings reach EUR 75,000. Cashback that needs CA$1,500 of weekly losses before it triggers. A payments page that contradicts the terms on currencies. English reviews answered in German, one addressed to the wrong person, and no reply at all to the most recent and most specific complaint.

Bob Casino remains where we would start for a player looking at this group. Avalon78 sits in the middle, ahead of Spinia and BetAmo, behind Bob and Cookie.

If you play here: take the welcome bonus, because unlike almost every other offer in our rankings it is clearable. Decline it at deposit if you want a clean withdrawal path instead. Use Instadebit or an e-wallet rather than a card for withdrawals. Submit documents the day you register. Track the 14 day bonus expiry because winnings go with it. And if something goes wrong, escalate to CasinoReviews.com after eight weeks rather than writing a review, because the casino has stopped reading them. Compare against the alternatives in our Canadian casino rankings.
